  the year once 1983 and the brother who use to study the bible with me drove by and had a full on "charles manson" looking facial hair and beard.

  i asked tina, a friend what's up with him?

  tina was 19 and a hot red-head woman who was partially in the religion but had problems with fornication.

  If the Jesus they depict in their mags and books walked into a Kingom Hall he would not be allowed on the platform until he went home and shaved!

  And put on what the elders thought was a proper suit & tie. And in some KH's a white shirt.

  The main aspect of the JW religion is Organization worship. After that it's the strict rule making, and the life events of trying to live up to those rules.

  P.S. I had a beard at the KH for a few months in the 80's. You really are treated different. My work industry position prohibits beards & goatees. When I finally retire, I will grow a goatee.

  This is a good thread. Lol

  Years ago, there was this one attractive sister that I knew since years earlier that had an unbelieving husband. She would only occasionally come to meetings, but when she did I got the extra big smile, touchy feely hug, and I will never forget how she batted her eyelashes at me. Think very pretty, tall, slim, built, long brown hair w/ big brown eyes that had sexy lashes. My then JW wife would always tell me afterwards how this sister always fawned over me. Even after I became elder.....I felt no need to counsel her on her eye lashes.

  I'm sure they love the 5 inch heels I wear to the meetings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I'm not even at your meetings and I'm loving them.

  I miss seeing all the attractive and nicely dressed women during the meetings. I would be so bad now, rather than the always do the right thing elder I was.

  Or simply don't go to meetings anymore because you're 'stumbled(TM)' by all the 'harmful gossip(R)'.

  This excuse is great to start a fast fade. You really make a fuss about how much of this gossip BS you have seen among JW's, and you are totally offended & stumbled by the latest gossip towards you, and will only come back whenever the BS gossip in this KH stops.

  The elders won't be able to do a thing about it. They know it's true and they can't defend it. The key is how pissed-off you can act when they start the hounding.

  i was raised in and i am currently on active status due to most of my family being very much in, but i am so ready to be done and have felt that way for quite some time.

  7 Day JW Convention cruises.......what a brillant idea.

  Cruise from Brookyn harbor to the Bermuda Triangle and back. All "new light" dispensed while inside the triangle. Violate the bathroom 1 towel rule and you walk the plank.
